This is the 20th anniversary of this event and the powers to be in N.Y. City have turned upon the run. There was a complaint made by the Residents Association of Little Italy to the politicians and N.Y.P.D.  The motorcycles are too loud for their fancy apartments.  They decided that there will be no parking of motorcycles only in Little Italy like in the past. They have decided to send all the participating bikes to a designated parking area 4 blocks away. The restaurant owners are on the side of the run, but a last minute meeting with the powers that be failed to make a change. This might have been the last Garlic Run into N.Y. City.
